Auction Item Sneak Peek

Auction item preview - Compelled-Dangelo

Broken Road Studio artist and owner Phil DeAngelo has contributed to the Authors for Literacy Dinner & Silent Auction for the last five years. “Compelled,” featured here, is one of nearly 100 items that will be up for bidding to raise funds for Literacy Council programs at the 2016 Authors for Literacy Dinner & Silent Auction featuring Wiley Cash.

Phil and his wife Tina are further supporting the Literacy Council this week at The Wedge Studios art series, The Visual Word. Twenty three Wedge artists have been paired with local and nationally acclaimed poets to create a stimulating new show. A percentage of proceeds collected from sales will go to the Literacy Council of Buncombe County. This will be the Wedge Studios second in a series of themed shows which opens August 11th, 2016. In a building that turns 100 years old this year, The Wedge Studios has become one of the premier stops in the River Arts District. As the district grows, the artists of The Wedge continue to celebrate and showcase the talent of their building.
