We need your help.

There are many ways to help the Literacy Council other than being a tutor.   We are always looking for good volunteers to contribute their enthusiasm, experience, expertise, and interests to our organization.

Some of our non-tutor volunteer opportunities include:


  • Computer lab maintenance
  • Augustine Project Training Support
  • Photo matting
  • Library support
  • Student survey administration


  • Copy writer / editor
  • Graphics design
  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Brochure / program information distribution


  • Volunteer at large community events to benefit LCBC
  • Staffing booths and distributing literature at festivals
  • Organize your own fundraising event
  • Link your Grocery rewards card

Event Planning and Support

  • Spelling Bee planning and day-of support
  • Authors for Literacy planning and day-of support
  • Helping with fundraising events.
