Nancy S. Crosby Computer Center
Online study accelerates learning.
We are pleased to offer our students access to computer technology, including software and online reading and ESOL instruction.
The lab consists of six computers. Each computer is connected to the internet and equipped with microphone and headphones. Available software includes Rosetta Stone, OpenBook, Berlitz, Side by Side, EASY ELD, Lexia, Road to Citizenship, and Easy Writer.
Our computer center is located at the Literacy Council office and is open for over 30 hours each week, including some evenings. We encourage all students – and especially ESOL students on the waiting list for a tutor – to take advantage of the computer center resources. Not only will you improve your computer skills, but you can quickly advance your reading and language skills.
For information on how to use the computer center, contact either the Adult Education Director or the ESOL Program Director at 828-254-3442.
